YSL Sheer Candy: Retailing for $32 and comes in 12 gorgeous shades, this heavy hitter is hard to compete with, as it's popular staple for many. Made up of rosemary extract, pomegranate extract, and gamma oryzanol, these ingredients help protect the lips against free radicals that cause premature aging.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter: Retailing between $6-8 at your local drugstore and coming in a variety of 20 different shades this affordable option is a great alternative to it's much higher priced competitor. Hydrating shea, mango and coconut butter boost lip's hydration by up to 156%.
The verdict: The wear on Revlon's product last's much longer, though you'll find the texture to be a bit thicker on the lips. In my opinion, longer wear equals more bang for your buck and for $6 a pop, Revlon's looking very appealing. YSL does take the crown in the image department...that regal packaging may come at a steep price, but it sure is pretty to look it! When it comes down to it, both may boast hydration, softness and beautiful color but the anti-aging benefits of YSL sway my decision (i'm an anti-aging junkie, what can I say!?). If that's something that's not of concern to you just yet, opt for Revlon, as it's an affordable, high quality option that will certainly fill all of your glossy needs.
