Earlier this morning, I went live on air with Winging It! Buffalo Style, to discuss my favorite trends and looks (with a few "misses" thrown in of course) from this past Sunday's Golden Globe Awards. Click to hear my thoughts and check out above what kinds of products you can use to achieve the same chic, red carpet look from some of my favorite leading ladies!
JESSICA ALBA: This modern take on Old Hollywood glam leaves me speechless. Ms. Alba has always been a stunner, but her appearance this past Sunday on the red carpet was her best yet! To achieve her glamourous curls try using Sultra's Bombshell Curling Rod, making sure to curl about 2 inch pieces of hair at a time, as we want big curls...not casual waves. Spritz with a finishing gloss and your good to go! For Jessica's vivid, peach lip OCC's well pigmented Lip Tar in "Beta" is a perfect choice! It's well pigmented, lasts all day and is nearly identical duplicate.
KERRY WASHINGTON: Kerry's fresh faced, natural look can be achieved with two major components: blushing cheeks and a pop of color on the eyes. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in "Frisky" will do the trick (and perfect for a long night out, as these blushes are made to last!) For those dazzling eyes, try Lancôme Color Design Infinité 24H Eye Shadow in "Evermore Lilac". which was the exact shade as worn by Kerry herself. The trick with this look is keeping the rest neutral, meaning don't pile on the foundation, bronzer or bold lips. Stick with a fresh face and emphasize those cheeks and eyes.
KATHARINE MCPHEE: The "Smash" star's look is a total departure from what we normally see her in, and I kind of dig it! Katharine's soft, smokey eyes can be achieved easily with Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, specifically the last 3 shades (black on lid, softer brown in crease and bone color to highlight). The eyes are not the only main focus to this look though, her bronzed complexion and contoured cheeks finish it off perfectly. Try using Josie Maran's Brightening Bronzer for the same effect.
