This past week, I had the opportunity to go through not one, but two challenging workouts with Celebrity Trainers, Jennifer Cohen and Andrea Orbeck at Muscle Milk's annual Fitness retreat.
Andrea Orbeck is the trainer behind the bodies of many Victoria's Secret models: Heidi Klum, Doutzen Kroes and Karolina Kurkova to name a few. During our 30 minute workout, we focused mainly on tightening and toning the tush and core performing moves such as "the clam" and "the mermaid". I simply adored Andrea's personality, with funny comments like "I always wanted to become a serial killer, then I figured being a trainer was close enough!" it made the pain a bit more manageable to get through. Look out for Andrea's workout DVD coming out next month, I can't wait to get my hands on one!
Jennifer Cohen is best known for her "No gym required" movement (Check out her book here) as well as the star of the CW network show "Shedding for the Wedding." I went through a grueling 60 minute workout with Jennifer performing moves such as walking lunges, plank push ups and lateral side steps with a resistance band. We used so much of our own body weight in the workout, which was a nice change for me seeing as I typically work out with 5-10lb weights.
One major realization I had from both workouts was that you truly do not need a gym in order to get fit. With proper dedication and some inexpensive gear (weights, resistance band and a mat) you can get your workout in, anywhere...anytime, no excuses!
Of course, a cute outfit helps too, and that's where C9 by Champion comes in! I was lucky enough to get outfitted by the brand on both days at the retreat. The clothes were super cute, comfortable and affordable. My favorite pieces from the line include the sports bra and cropped leggings. You can find C9 by Champion in your local Target stores. Here are some pictures of the event below, I had a blast!
