A true Princess Bride

by Christina

I found myself simply glued to the TV in the early hours of the morning today, fascinated by all of the Royal Wedding Coverage and Ceremony. It was truly a breathtaking and fairytail-esque moment when we first spotted Kate Middleton as she stepped out of the Queen's custom Rolls Royce Phantom to meet her Prince.

In my opinion, Kate's dress was absolutely perfect for the elegant, and chic bride. I was not surprised by the choice of classic lace and cut showing off her teeny tiny waist and model like figure. What did surprise me was hearing reports Kate had actually done her own makeup and hair............stop........come again?

This woman could get any Makeup Artist on the planet and her decision was based on simply not wanting to make a fuss about it and wanted Prince William to be able to recognize her. Makes me adore her even more!

It's reported Kate actually took makeup lessons from Makeup Artist, Arabella Preston prior to the big day to ensure she would get the details just right! I think she did a lovely job, and simply adored her very neutral "blushing bride" look. (A full makeup breakdown/tutorial will be posted later on Beauty Queen!)

Did you get up early to watch the Royal Wedding? What did you think of Kate's dress (by Sarah Burton, creative director of British fashion house Alexander McQueen) and the rest of her bridal look?

Before I go, I must not forget to include how handsome Prince William looks, a man in a uniform can never do any wrong!
